Engaged Nurse Wanted at Pjäsen in Visby
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Pjäsen
In central Visby, there are three special accommodations and a short-term unit - Fältgatan, Terra nova, and Pjäsen - with the mission to provide good care and create a meaningful everyday life for our residents, based on the values of trust, care, and participation.
Pjäsen offers a homely environment with 100 modern apartments spread over four floors. Floor one is adapted for people with dementia, while floors two to four cater to somatic care. As a nurse, you have close and significant patient responsibility for about 20 users and also serve as support for colleagues.
You will be part of a warm and competent team consisting of a unit manager, nursing assistants, residential assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors. Together, we create a workplace where every day offers development, variation, and new encounters. Here, there are opportunities for development, collegial learning, and contributing ideas that drive the business forward.
As some of our nurses move on to other exciting assignments within the organization, we are now looking for three new engaged nurses.
We offer a meaningful job where you make a difference, with security, community, competent colleagues, and a good working environment. As an employee of Region Gotland, you also have access to generous wellness benefits.
Your Responsibilities
Together with colleagues, in addition to the patient-centered work involving examinations, assessments, information, and advice, you also play an important role in collaboration with the care staff. Together with the unit manager, you lead the daily care work in the operation. You participate in development work alongside the unit manager, rehabilitation staff, and care staff at the residence, and work with quality assurance in the form of national quality registers. Since the work is close to the operation, it also means that you have a close and good contact with the residents and their relatives.
We collaborate with other units in Visby, especially on weekends and during absences. It is a collaboration we want to continue developing so that we become strong together.
You will work daytime, Monday to Friday, and currently every fourth weekend.
Who Are You?
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and want to contribute both competence and commitment to our operations. If you also have a specialist education in elderly and dementia care, experience from elderly care or similar healthcare operations, it is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have worked with quality registers, such as Senior Alert, Palliative Register, and BPSD, as these are important tools in our quality work. A B driver's license is preferred.
As a person, you are secure in your profession and thrive in a role where you can combine independent responsibility with close teamwork. You are unpretentious, attentive, and have an easy time collaborating with all our different professional categories. We value your curiosity and openness to collegial learning, and that you actively want to contribute ideas and suggestions that develop the operations.
To succeed in the role, you need to be structured, able to prioritize well, and feel comfortable in a changing everyday life. You also have the ability to see the whole picture and be able to follow up and steer the work in line with our goals and financial frameworks.
Good communication skills are important to us – you express yourself clearly and professionally in speech and writing in Swedish, as documentation and daily communication occur in Swedish.
We place great emphasis on engagement, collaboration ability, and personal suitability – together we create a safe, developing, and meaningful environment for both residents and colleagues.
Warm welcome to your application!
